I'm updating my journal so I can pimp Blade of the Immortal to all anime/manga fans in my flist. It starts out slow but you're gonna fall head over heels in love with this.

Manji is an immortal ronin. He's cursed to live forever. To reverse the curse, he must slay one thousand evil men in exchange for the lives of the 100 good men he killed. His first step towards redemption is helping orphan Rin find justice for the murder of her parents.

If you're like me and you like the strong, silent, well-mannered types, you're gonna loooove Anotsu (the supposed-to-but-not-really antagonist of the story). And you're going to find Manji and his foul-mouth adorable. Really, all of the characters are just likable.

So, yea. Do watch it (and read the manga). I promise lots of gore, good looking guys, good art and a good story. And if the preview is anything to go by, good animation too.
